The student may wash their hands right before lessons.

The student is encouraged to bring a notebook to take notes during and after the lesson. The student is also encouraged to bring their method books to each lesson.

The teacher may provide the student with a copy of a single etude or scale. If an entire book of scales or etudes is being used, it is recommended that the parent or student purchase the book.

Semester dates: August 11 to December 12.

The student may enroll for 16 lessons per semester. The schedule can be flexible according to the student’s availability.

The student is expected to practice daily, according to what was discussed in the lesson. Parents are encouraged to guide the student to a space that motivates practice. Parents and students are strongly encouraged to communicate via email any questions regarding homework and practice.

The teacher may reschedule the lesson with 24 hours of notification in advance.

Students may reschedule or cancel a lesson with 24 hours‘ notice. With less than 24 hours of notification, 50% of the lesson fee will be charged.

In case of an emergency or an act of god, no fee will be charged.

Student is expected to arrive 5 minutes before the start of the lesson to wash their hands, set up and tune the violin. Parents are encouraged to stay during the lesson to watch, take notes, or record sections of the lesson. No phone calls are allowed during the lesson.

The student and parents may choose to have lessons at the teacher’s house or at the convenience of their house. Additional fee will be charged for the latter.

The lesson fee covers the time the teacher travels to the lesson, the time invested during the lesson, and the time for lesson planning.

Students may enroll in weekly 30-, 45-, or 60-minute lessons.
